General Brief Introduction to CMS

Since the term Content Management System (CMS) is on one hand widespread, but on the other hand many people, even those with IT experience, do not know exactly what it actually means (and there also seems to be no absolutely uncontested definition, at least on the internet), this chapter explains and defines the term CMS and subclasses, and lists the advantages and disadvantages of using such CMS.
